Dashboard Confessional and The All American Rejects are bringing their signature sounds to the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion!
Dashboard Confessional started as a solo project of singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Chris Carrabba after he left the post hardcore group, Further Seems Forever. With just an acoustic guitar and soulful emotional lyrics, he named the project after a lyric from one of the tracks (The Sharp Hint of New Tears) in his debut album (Swiss Army Romance). The project became a full fledged band with his follow up album (The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most). It peaked at #5 on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart, sold over 500,000 copies in the US alone, and made Chris the poster boy for the emo resurgence of the early 2000s. Their music blends acoustic and indie rock and is influenced by renowned acts such as The Beatles, Nirvana, Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, The Beach Boys, Weezer, Fugazi, and many more. Both their 3rd and 4th albums (A Mark, a Mission, a Brand, a Scar and Dusk and Summer) reached #2 on the US Billboard 200 chart and have been certified Gold. They’ve had a stellar career with 6 studio albums, 1 live album (certified Platinum), 1 compilation album, 11 singles, and 5 extended plays.
