He went on to have an illustrious solo career with 12 studio albums and he’s also starred in many films. His musical style can be best described as a blend of rock, jazz, reggae, classical, new age (a style intended to create artistic inspiration, relaxation, and optimism, and includes both acoustic elements such as flutes, piano, acoustic guitar and a wide variety of non-Western acoustic instruments, and electronic forms, frequently relying on sustained synth pads or long sequencer based runs) and worldbeat (a style that mixes Western pop music or rock music with world music or folk music influences).
